What a Monday. To start, I went to bed super late than my usual time. I couldn’t seem to wake up this morning and slept in.. a few mins too late. Rushed to get ready and head out the door, already late. My car decided to pretend it was dead, but luckily cranked after a mild panic attack. The day was long, and I struggled to stay awake all day.
So let’s back up to Sunday.
I am proud to report that Andrew and I are now part of the family at the church we have been visiting the last few weeks! Becoming members has been something we have been wanting to do, and knew that this church was the one for us on the very first Sunday that we visited. Incredibly sweet and welcoming people make us feel so comfortable. We love the contemporary early service.. it def helps wake us up with the awesome music. The praise band is amazing and works so hard to do a great job to help others worship with beautiful music. Our biblestudy group is for newlyweds and has us wanting to go and see what’s next every single Sunday. Still very interested and drawn in to the Godly Marriage series we are doing.
After we walked down to the front and joined, we felt the love by everyone that came and introduced themselves to us! We are definitely very blessed to be a part of such a wonderful place, apart from our home church of course.
I felt so productive yesterday. Church, grocery shopping, lunch, nap, shopping with giftcards (THE BEST), making an appetizer, and having dinner with new friends at their beautiful home.
So you know the church part. Grocery shopping is never exciting, but the afternoon shopping was fun! Who doesn’t like having free money to spend on fun stuff?! This fun stuff consisted of……
(Again, not really sure what is happening to make my pics turn sideways and upside down.) I haven’t had a scale at home since I moved out of my parents house in March! Now I can finally keep a watch on it and most importantly, watch that number go down! I found this one at Dillards and was a great price too.
Since we had plans to go have dinner at our friends’ house, I needed a carrier for the casserole dish!
This is my new fav!! How crazy that bakeware can make me so happy. This thing was awesome and stood the heat, directly out of the oven. It also comes with a hot/cold pack, that we didn’t need because the drive was so short. The dish I made? Only the famous Buffalo Chicken Dip that we make to take EVERYWHERE. There is no telling where Andrew got the recipe a couple of years ago, and I’m not sure that we do it exactly the same, but here it is…
(Disclaimer: This is not an original recipe created by me or my guy. It is from a recipe website, and I don’t know which one.)
8 oz cream cheese, 1/2 Franks Wing Sauce, 1/2 Ranch dressing, 2 cups shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese, Rotisserie chicken.
Melt cream cheese, wing sauce, and ranch in saucepan, add half of cheese, add a good bit of chicken (I pull it off and throw it in, but use to shred it) and mix. Bake in a dish at 350* 10mins, take out and add remaining cheese and bake for an additional 10mins.
If your a cheese lover, you will LOVE it. We serve with Santitas chips! And it is always best straight out of the oven! Our friends Stephanie and Matt gobbled it right up, just like every other person that has tasted it. I’m telling ya, it’s ALWAYS a success and we almost always come home with an empty dish.
Can you believe I have no pictures of the dip, or of the night?! Funny thing was, I had intentions of taking a picture of mine and Steph’s matchy matchy outfits. Black shirts, white shorts. We had a lot of fun and the time FLEW by. Yay for making new friends! I could have stayed there talking all night. I’m so glad I didn’t tho, because getting home at 10:30 and going to sleep even later than that was tough on my body this morning.
I had a happy that picked me up a little.
I would have felt even more special if almost all of the other therapists hadn’t gotten pretty much the same thing. It is nice to know that I’m appreciated tho!
Oh, and go make this Cheesy Hamburger Casserole! It’s what was for dinner TONIGHT.
Sorry, no Weight Watchers points available for your happiness. But your mouth will enjoy it Recipe here.
And now a little laundry, and NCIS with my boo. Night all!
